The Kids Grow Up

Documentary / 2009 / 90 min

Written and Directed by
Doug Block

New York filmmaker Doug Block (“51 Birch Street”) began filming his daughter Lucy, just as any proud father would. Over the years, though, his filming became something more: an attempt by a father to say goodbye to the little girl who, as reflected in his camera’s lens, has transformed into a young woman. A New York Times critic’s pick, the film has been described as “A profound, and utterly relatable, contemplation of…parenthood, aging and youth’s swift passing” (Anthony Kaufman, indieWIRE).

Hosted by Dan Webster of Movies 101.
