Films received after 1 November 2014 will be considered for SpIFF 2016.

Feature films – 50 minutes and over running time
Mid-length films – 16- 49 minutes long running time
Short films – 15 minutes or less running time

*SpIFF will consider NOT open submissions that were publicly screened before September 1, 2013, the regular submission deadline for our most recent festival, except in extraordinary circumstances.  

SpIFF particularly welcomes submissions from Pacific Northwest filmmakers, however, open submissions that receive significant exhibition in Spokane prior to SpIFF, either via theatrical or broadcast venues, may be disqualified at the discretion of the programmers.  Please contact us at before submitting your work or before screening it in Spokane if you have any questions regarding this policy.

Presentation Format:

SpIFF will exhibit accepted works in Blu-Ray, 35mm, DVD (Region 0 or 1), or a then-current digital format as agreed upon by the filmmaker and SpIFF.   
SpIFF will notify filmmakers who submit by e-mail in January 2015.  The decision of the judges will be final.   
Loss and Damage:
Every precaution will be taken to safeguard all materials submitted to SpIFF. However, we cannot accept or assume responsibility in the event of loss or damage.
