With her mother in recovery, a troubled but daring teenage girl is sent to Alaska to live with her uncle. When that relationship turns bad, the girl is forced to run. But while trying to make her way back to Seattle, the girl finds herself lost in the Alaska wilderness. A chance meeting with a lone backpacker, an older man with issues of his own, leads to a partnership that proves beneficial to both.
